The Scheduler is designed to run certain processes unattended.
Important:
--The computer must be ON when the event is scheduled to start.
--You do not need to have our software running.
--Only automate tasks that you have already performed at least once manually. For example, before you automate an import, make sure that you have mapped all the fields, etc...
Notes:
--If you wish to secure your computer/workstation, you may 'lock' your workstation (Ctrl-Alt-Del) or allow a screensaver password lock to invoke.
Getting Started
The basic event is 'Actions' (located in the upper left corner). You may also select an alternative sequence of events with the 'Backup' selection. Press the 'Scheduler' button.
Enter a Password
For all new events, and all events which have not yet run, you will be prompted to enter a user name and password.
The first line will display your correct computer name and Windows User ID. Only advanced users should change this line.
Then enter your password and confirm it. Press next to continue.
Note: Required Password - If you log into a network or have a stand-alone machine which is password protected, a password is required for Scheduler to operate.
Network Users
Many corporate networks today require their users to periodically change their password. If your password changes, you must also update your password in the Scheduler.
To avoid periodic password changes, you may ask your Network Administrator to create a user specifically for the Scheduler. Recommend that this 'user' be given limited access rights, but have a password which doesn't expire.
Windows XP Users
Even if you have a stand-alone computer and your machine is not password protected, you will need to enter a password.
First, create a password on an existing account:--Start button
-Control Panel
-User Accounts
-"Pick an Account to Change"
-Create a password
Then, return to the program's scheduler and enter your user name and password.
Day and Time Selection
Select the days of the week and the time you want to start the processes.
If you want to repeat the process throughout the day, click the 'Repeat' button for additional options. Note: There is little to be gained by repeating the process more than twice a day.
