In addition to 'On-the-Fly' importing, ACH Universal offers traditional profile-based ACH transaction creation.
This method is similar to most online banking scenarios, where you setup a profile for the company you want to pay.
After the profile is created, you're able to create ACH transactions by selecting the vendor and then entering a dollar amount.
Create a file - only two columns of data needed!
One field is the unique identifier field, which is used as a lookup to your profiles. This can be the name or ID number.
The other field is the amount.
Below we are importing a two column Excel spreadsheet.
Notice that the name of the company is mapped as 'ACH_Name_Internal (Profile_Lookup)'. Each name corresponds to a profile with the same name.
The second column simply mapped 'Amount'.
Profile-based importing is used for off-the-shelf accounting packages such as Peachtree and any other system which does not have the ability to store account and routing information. Note: QuickBooks users do not use profiles in ACH Universal, there's a direct integration.
To simply add one ACH transaction at a time - click the 'Add a Record' button and then select the profile from the drop down list and enter the amount.
As a productivity tool - add multiple ACH transactions at a time by entering the amount into the Quick Pay window.
Need to generate the same transactions over and over again?
Create these ACH transactions in batch mode.
To setup - store the recurring amount within the profiles.
See Recurring ACH Payments for additional information and screen shots.
