Rollout - Install the new version of Treasury Software (client) on other workstations.

Install the new version of Treasury Software (client) on a workstation.
1. Download the new version of Treasury Software from the link below and save on a network drive.
http://www.treasurysoftware.com/download.aspx

2. Install the software on a workstation.

Install the SQL Express database (server) on the same workstation
3. Download the SQL Express database from the link below and save to your local workstation. This is available on the same page as #1 above. If you have already left the page, the SQL Express Engine 2005 can be downloaded from:
https://www.treasurysoftware.com/Support/support2-Installation-SQL-Express.aspx

Install the software on the same workstation as above in #1.

If you will be using existing data files - follow this step.
4. Locate your data (*.brd) files on the original workstation. The default location would be c:\Program Files\Treasury Software\Treasury Desktop\data\*.brd. Copy the files from the old workstation to the new workstation. Note: Do not copy the sample.brd.

If your new workstation has a different version of Treasury Software, start Treasury Software and open each account (File > New Account > Existing). This will upgrade each individual database.

Migrate the system from desktop to SQL Express
5. Start the software. From the 'Welcome New User' screen, select the application you are using (ACH, Bank Reconciliation or Positive Pay).

6. From the main menu select 'File', 'Migrate to SQL/SQL Express' and click next through the wizard. If you are prompted that you need SQL Client tools, please allow the system to install, and then restart the wizard.

In the 'Select a server' drop down box select the server ending with \TREASOFT.
Check the checkbox below 'SQL Express'.
Click Next through the wizard. Exit and restart the software.

Create databases
7. Upon reentry, Treasury Software will prompt you to create a new bank account (database). Enter a name for the new database. If you are migrating desktop (brd) files, do not migrate any at this point (simply create an account 'test'). Afterwards, the system will prompt you to create the Sample account. Critical - select 'Yes'.

To migrate existing desktop (brd) files (remember - you must be working on the computer that has SQL Express):
Start the wizard again (File > New Account > Create). Enter an account name and point to the brd file. The brd file must be on the same drive as both the Treasury Software and the SQL Express host. When you click 'Next', the system will create a copy of the brd file, but the copy will have an extension of mdb. If the system is having trouble finding the mdb file, try relocating the mdb file with Windows Explorer to the path that is being prompted. If the system does not find the file, from within Windows Explorer - give the Data directory of Treasury Software a share name and try again. Alternatively, you may decide to simply place the brd files in the root directory.

If the path remains an issue, please contact us for alternative migration methods.

Rollout - Install the new version of Treasury Software (client) on other workstations.
Repeat the steps below for each client workstation which needs software

8. Repeat steps 1, 2 and 5 and 6 on each workstation.

9. Enter new license codes into each workstation.
From the main menu select 'File', 'Enter License Codes'. Enter the codes and click 'Register'.

Tips:
--Make sure that you have a system administrator rights to install software before starting
--don't rollout to the users until you have fully tested the new system.

Congratulations!
