How to start

You can access the Transaction Types by selecting Transaction Types from the Home tab.
Bank_Reconciliation_Matching_04_75

Check the check box at the top of the form to turn on this feature.

This will enable you to:
--Classify records during the import process, and
--Use classification as a matching attribute in user defined matching rules
Note: This check box is synchronized with the classification type check box on the matching form.

Add/Edit/Delete
Add - Click on the Add button above the grid

Edit - Type in the new name of the category, click 'Save' when complete.

Delete - Click on the Delete button above the grid.  Do not delete categories for records you have already imported.

System categories

If this feature is not turned on, or, if you do not assign a record to a category, the system will attempt to categorize to:
0        Unclassified

1        Checks

2        Misc. Deposits

3        Misc. Withdrawals

Use in Matching
When a user-defined matching rule is on, and this feature is on - this attribute will be used in the matching process.

Reports

When this feature is on, you will be able to view in reports:
--Record_Type_Description (Text5) field.

--Record_Type (numerical equivalent used in the matching process) field

Advanced IT notes:

The numerical value is what is used in the matching process, so it is critical that this is not altered once records have been classified to it.
