Top Support FAQ's:

1) I need to re-install the software on a new machine.

3) Can I share the Data File on our network?
4) I've downloaded the software, but can't install it (invalid password).

1) How do I install the software on a new PC?
The following instructions only apply to the Desktop platform. See the SQL Express or SQL Server install instructions for help with those platforms.

On the original workstation:
--a. Using Windows Explorer on the original workstation, navigate to C:\Program Files\TreasurySoftware\Data
--b. Copy the entire Data folder, and its contents, to a network drive folder.
--c. Start the software and enter into any account. From the main menu select 'Help', then 'About'. Write down your version number (including service pack - if any), version date and license ID. Close this window
--d. From the program main menu select 'File', 'Enter License Codes', then click on 'Remove License'. This will increase your available license count by one workstation. Exit the software.

On the new workstation:
--a. Install the software.
If you have the original InstallShield setup file, double click on the file and install the software.
If you do not have the original InstallShield setup file, download and install the current InstallShield setup file (http://www.treasurysoftware.com/download.aspx)
Note: You cannot copy the contents of the directory from the original computer to the new computer. The InstallShield setup file must be run.
--b. Copy all the .BRD files (except Sample.BRD) from the network drive folder (step 'b') into the Program Files\Treasury Software\Treasury Desktop\Data folder on the new workstation.
--c. Start Treasury Software
--d. From the main menu select 'File', 'New Account', 'Add an Existing Account' to your catalog and select the .BRD (account) file to add to your catalog. Allow the software to update the account(s) if prompted. Repeat this step for each .BRD (account) file.
--e. Enter your license information - from the main menu select 'File', 'Enter License Codes' and enter your ID and password.

If you do not have a valid license ID and password ...
--1. If you have re-installed the original version you purchased:
There is never a charge. Simply contact licensing with your company name, phone number, email address and license ID (if available).
--2. If you have upgraded by installing the current version from our website, please click here for upgrade pricing.

2) I can't find my license information.

If you have already purchased a license, please contact us

3) Can I put the data file (.BRD) on a network drive so multiple users can share and access the data?
Answer: No. The desktop version of the software is not designed for multi-user access or storage of the data file in any directory not on the local machine.

The desktop data file (BRD) will become inaccessible if placed on a network drive.

If you require multi-user access to the information, please visit the product pages for the following platforms:
--SQL Server Express
--SQL Server
--Citrix/Enterprise

4) I downloaded the software, but can't install it (invalid password).
Answer: The password to unlock the file is emailed to you upon completing the download request page.
Please check your email inbox for a message with:
Subject Line: Treasury Software Password

Please note: The unlock code is not the same as your license ID. The unlock code typically consists of word/letters, whereas your license ID is your phone number.
